Greetings, I bid you welcome to The Mausoleum. My ID is Gravebait, I'm not well known in any web circles-- I've just never been the extroverted type. My interests skew towards the supernatural or esoteric, this fascination bleeds into all of my other interests.

My favourite series at the moment are Silent Hill, Castlevania, Shin Megami Tensei and Guilty Gear. I also play a lot of Dead by Daylight, which makes me some kind of Pinhead-esque masochist. I read a lot of gothic fiction-- Frankenstein is my undisputed best novel of all time. It's a basic pick I'm aware but the best are the best for a reason. I enjoy horror movies of all tone and subgenre, my all time favourite being the first Hellraiser.

I'm in college for game design and development right now but my real passion has always been world building and story crafting. I enjoy digital art even if I'm not very good at it. I'd like to be a webcomic creator someday, just in my free time. I also clearly like Web Masterry, even if it doesnt like me.

As a goth of course I'm really into my music-- by goth standards my favourites are all very generic. Sister of Mercy, Pink turns Blue, Bauhaus, London after Midnight, Sirenia, Lebanon Hangover, Theatre of Tragedy etc.

Anyway I've clearly started rambling, this is the gist of me. Feel free to interact or reach out!

My goal for this site is multi-faceted— I have a passion for website design and a cloying need for human connection. These interests converge quite handily in neocities, hence my arrival here. Giving myself a project that isn't rotting in online game queues or watching video essays about things I don't care about is very important for the health of my soul, I think.

I also believe in that old internet revivalist movement, having the passion or drive to make a site means so much in this era of the web. A.I. generated content, irate grifters and billionare interests have all dulled the wonderful potential for genuine human connection that the internet offers. This site is my small rebellion against what the internet has become, I imagine many people here have similar stories and philosophies— thus my interest in connecting with passionate people on this platform.
